Consign

Please consider us if you are looking for a place to consign your new and gently used household items and antiques or if you want to sell your locally- or hand-made items. You can feel good that you are contributing to local and international ministries that help and serve others while making money and recycling household items.

When consigning items, you receive 60% of the retail price and Karis receives 40%. 

If you would like to consign with Karis:

  • Call the store (540-248-4511) to schedule a consignment appointment to drop off your items
  • Check to make sure we’re accepting items you have to consign based on available space
  • Download the Consignor Agreement, Consignor Inventory Sheet, and Items Not Accepted List
  • Complete the Consignor Inventory Sheet, listing items you want to consign and a retail price for Karis to use; we can help you with pricing if needed
  • Bring the completed forms when you consign with us

We accept consignments on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm by appointment only. Follow the signs to the side of our building where consignments are accepted.

  • Store space dictates what we can accept each week. You can check our blog page or call for updates on items currently not accepted due to high inventory.
  • Items must be in resaleable condition. Chipped, stained, torn, broken, or heavily worn items will not be accepted. Items must be smoke-free, and items with pet fur and marks will not be accepted.

Consignors can view and track their items and account activity at MyResaleWeb.

Pickup & Delivery Notice for Karis Customers

A nominal fee is charged for pickup and deliveries based on your location/distance from Karis. Pickup and deliveries are conducted on Mondays.

For Pickups: Call during our business hours to schedule a pickup.

The Pickup and Delivery Crew will assess their ability to transfer items from the house to the trailer or vice versa when they arrive onsite. They reserve the right to refuse pickup and/or delivery of items that are too large, too heavy, not on a ground floor, in a location where access is too restricted/difficult, and items that have smoke odor and/or pet hairs. The crew will inform you of your options in any of these situations.

For Deliveries:

  1. The Crew may leave the item at a convenient location on your property;
  2. The item may be returned to Karis for pickup by the customer within 1 week; or
  3. The item may be returned to Karis and become Karis’ property, in which case you may be entitled to a refund, provided you have the printed receipt of your purchase.

Artisans and Crafters

We ask that local artisans and crafters contact or meet with us for pre-approval before consigning with us to ensure their products meet our customers’ interests. Please call (540) 248-4511 or contact us with your name, contact information, and a description of the items you make.
